Their Hearts
Written by: M. D. Gifford II
To those that wear Their Hearts, all upon their single, battered beaten sleeves now in these times
Wishing for things to work, maybe the time seems shorter, realize it was more than, it, was, worth
So the funny times will come, I gotta focus on the hopefuls, everybody’s got something they want
And like turns into love, but don’t you ever say that, the people got their fables they have got to
Hold, oh hold, their head up high
Cause oh, yes oh, there’s more to the other side
And my tone, yes tone, oh tone, has a softer side
Please no, oh no, hey no I won’t calm down this time
This time, I won’t calm down this time, no
To those so proud to fight, hearing all the stories, making all the glories, seem, so, right
Bouncing back from fear, maybe the change was wholesome; struggles for the simple won’t you deal
And the better times will come, gotta focus on the uphill; everybody’s got someone they hail
So bad turns into good, but don’t you ever say that, the people got their fables they have got to
Hold, oh hold, their head up high
Cause oh, yes oh, there’s more to my dark side
And my tone, yes tone, oh tone, has a softer side
Please no, oh no, hey no I won’t back down this time
This time, this time, this time
Their hearts will survive, this time they’ll survive, this time they’ll survive
Their hearts will survive, this time
